Awake Movement exists to see a new generation of worshippers arise—people who know the heart of God, carry His presence and make His Kingdom visible wherever they go. We believe God is restoring the ministry of the Levites in this generation: worshippers who do not build a platform for themselves, but an altar for God alone. Worshippers who remain in His presence and lead others from that place.
For us, worship is not simply music. It is a lifestyle of surrender, intimacy and obedience. Our highest priority is not a program, a stage or a performance, but the manifest presence of God. We want to follow where He is moving and respond to His leading. Everything we do flows from that conviction.
Awake Movement is building a movement that equips people to host and carry God's presence wherever they go—not for their own recognition, but for His glory alone. We bring people together through worship, discipleship, music, events and teaching. We are also pioneering the Awake Movement Worship School to equip a new generation of worship leaders, musicians and creatives in both character and calling.
The people within the movement may change. The sound may develop. The expression may grow. But the focus remains the same: His Presence
Awake Movement was founded by Sarah Ben Hamida & Robin Trouerbach, who share a desire to build a healthy worship culture rooted in the presence of God. Together they provide the vision and direction for the movement.
For many hears Sarah Ben Hamida has ben serving as a worship leader and has helped to shape the worship culture throughout the Netherlands, including Camping De Betteld, where believers from different denominations come together. As the the visionary behind Awake Movement, she carries the heart and vision of the movement
Robin Trouerbach combines a passion for worship with experience in leadership, strategy and organisational development. As Co-Founder of Awake Movement, he is responsible for the organisation and adminsitration. He oversees the artist administration and the management of Awake Movement's digital platforms and music releases.
